ANDROID PORT STATUS #2 [EN]

First of all, as always, I would like to thank you all for making my dream come true, being able to have a mini-community that is aware of the things I do really fills me up, thank you very much for the support you give to my projects, for being so patient and above all respectful, I couldn’t have a better community.

After all the above, I’m going to comment a little bit about the current state of the Android port. After being two weeks “rested” I have returned to work on the Android port blah blah blah blah, it’s a lie, these two weeks I have been more or less, from time to time, advancing little by little on the port, so I have not rested at all.

I’ve made so much progress on the Android port controls, some time ago, I said that I did some first tests on Android to see how it was going and so on, and now, I’ve been back to do it many times, so, little by little I’ve been improving the port.

I want to clarify that in order to reduce the size of the game and thus be able to create the Android port, I had to take the decision that the player the first time he plays the game has to download several assets for the proper functioning of the game. So, thanks to this decision, I have been able to reduce the size of the game from 200MB to ~70MB.

The aforementioned process is completely mandatory and cannot be skipped, since the assets that are being downloaded are the most important in the game, without them, the game literally does not work or works partially. I could add an option to skip the music download, well, the game music is also downloaded during this phase, but we’ll see…

Now, the next thing, the PORT DEPARTURE DATE, I have no idea. I have received various comments about when the Android port will be released and honestly, I don’t know when it will be ready, since, EVEN THOUGH THE PORT IS PROGRESSING WELL, there are MANY BUGS, and the current version IS NOT AT ALL POLISHED and is very bugged, it is because Currently, I want to polish the version first.

Also, I don’t want to create high expectations with this version, since it is a simple port from the PC version to the ANDROID version, it doesn’t add anything new, it only fixes bugs and in a certain way optimizes the game.

Finally, let’s talk about optimization, I have previously said that in order to optimize the size of the game I had to make various assets download as soon as I started the game, well, I also had to eliminate some features of the game, such as the “ “extras”, that is, both the gallery and the “music room” have been eliminated, however, the statistics section remains intact, this was done with the idea of ​​optimizing the size of the base game, but hey, it is VERY possible Whether over time it will add such functions again, I don’t know.

Anyway, to finish, I would like to give an “approximate date” about when the port I THINK will be more or less ready, and although I REALLY DON’T KNOW WHEN IT WILL BE READY, since, let’s remember that I don’t do this for a living, and I want to live summer vacations, plus I don’t want to do this in a bad way and rushing, well… I want to believe that the port will be ready at the beginning of July, I don’t know the exact date, but when I see that it is more or less ready , I will release a new teaser on Youtube, so stay tuned…
